Chinese Automakers On Moscow Auto Exhibition
2007 Moscow International Automobile Exhibition was held during 29 Aug. to 3 Sep. There were nearly 1200 exhibitors from more than 34 countries and one third of these exhibitors came from China.
Because European Automobile Manufacturer Association had given up participating in this term of exhibition, Chinese manufacturers took the leading role in the exhibition. Nearly all major automobile manufacturers have taken part in the exhibition, of which pick up manufacturers were Greatwall, ZXAUTO, Changfeng Motor, JAC and Gonow Auto; heavy duty truck manufacturers were Dongfeng, SINOTRUK, Shaanxi Auto.

Russia Automobile Exhibition
According to local dealers, at present, Chinese automobiles sold in Russia are mainly SUV, Pickup trucks, and light and heavy duty commercial vehicles. Russia"s biggest auto dealer is Irito group whose president Mr.Aleksey D. Reznikov said they have sold large quantity of Chinese vehicles in 2006 of which there were 8,000 SUVs, 2,000 units of light trucks and a large number of cars. Sales amount had reached 150,000,000 us $.
In latest three years, number of Chinese auto parts & accessory manufacturers participating in Russia exhibition is quickly increasing. Auto demand in Russia market is increasing by 10% per year which is attracting more and more manufacturers come to Russia.
However, many Chinese manufacturers said it's not easy for foreign manufacturers to develop in Russia because of local protectionism, cultural differences and language.
