China the second largest auto consumer, third largest auto producer

 China becomes the second largest auto consumer, third largest auto producer in the world. In year 2006, China produced 7,280,000 units of vehicles which is 121.5% increased compared with year 2002(3,287,000 units in 2002). Annual increase rate is 30.4%. In 2006, auto sales volume was 7,216,000 units. China has become the third largest producer behind U.S.A. and Japan.
