Yuchai group becomes a member of Global Compact

In recent days, Yuchai group a major China commercial vehicle engine maker became a member of United Nations Global Compact which is the world's largest, global corporate citizenship initiative was set up by U.N in 2000.

In order to call for multinational companies’ participation to reduce the negative effects of globalization and advance it to develop in a positive direction, the Global Compact tries to make the ten principles in business activities mainstream around the world. It is not a regulatory instrument – it does not “police”, enforce or measure the behavior or actions of companies. Rather, the Global Compact relies on public accountability, transparency and the enlightened self-interest of companies, labor and civil society to initiate and share substantive action in pursuing the principles upon which the Global Compact is based.

Guided by the company culture concept of “Green development and Win-win in harmony” Yuchai Group has made great contributions to social commonweal.
