China's tire industry decreased 50.9% in 2008
China Rubber Industry Association estimates that the output of tires is 350 million units, which raise a 6 percent year-on-year growth. And the output of radial tire is 260,000,000 units, has an increase of 13%. But the total profits of tire industry dropped 50.9 percent compared with that of 2007.
The industry still has to faces many serious challenges in 2009, but China rubber industry has the opportunity for development.
First of all, domestic market is still has strong demand for automobiles; secondly, government helps the industry to development. It will bring a greater opportunity for iron and steel, coal and building materials industry. Third, international automotive manufacturers have just begun to purchasing china auto parts in recent years. Domestic rubber parts enterprises constantly enhance its competitive.
