ZF AMT transmission begins to touch China heavy truck
(chinatrucks.com, April 16, 2010) A test drive event of heavy truck matched with ZF series transmission is held in Zhejiang on April 13, 2010, including YOUNGMAN JNP6120 double deck bus( with ZF 12 automated transmission) , Dongfeng Kinlang heavy truck, German MAN tractor,and the like. Operation convenience, driving comfort, and great fuel prudence displayed by ZF series automated transmission, AS Tronic, have gained lots of compliments of the attendees.
ZF has researched and tested AMT transmission ten years before. AMT transmission has won European customers recognition at the moment. ZF has accumulated four years market feedback data since the initial show in 2006 in China. Currently, ZF AMT transmission has been fully promoted to China market by collaboration with power system and appliance system of OEM factory.
It is learned that AS Tronic has a various applications in commercial vehicle field. AS Tronic, applicable for heavy truck, and AS Tronic mid, applicable for medium truck, as well as AS Tronic lite, applicable for mini truck, are famous for convenient operation, safety and fuel prudence.
AS Tronic
In Western Europe, over 50% new extended commercial vehicles have been equipped with ZF-AS Tronic transmission. It guarantees high efficient power transmission, so that fuel consumption could be saved. Wrench range of ZF-AS Tronic 12 is from 1,600Nm to 3,100Nm. Moreover, ZF-AS Tronic 16 could provide more accurate gears distribution to the engine whose wrench is less than 26,00Nm.
AS Tronic mid
AS Tronic mid with aerodynamic shift is AS Tronic 12 transmission developed based on heavy AS Tronic from technology aspect. Wrench range of AS Tronic mid is from 800Nm to 1,600Nm. This mid transmission is applied at TGM of Man, and new Eurocargo series of Iveco.
AS Tronic Lite
AS Tronic 6 transmission, AS Tronic lite, is developed based on ZF-Ecolite manual transmission, and it applies for light truck and light bus whose wrench range is from 500Nm to 1,050Nm. It has adopted hydraulic shift mode, and it is the base transmission of ZF hybrid power transmission.
