Chrysler starts to sell CNG trucks
www.chinatrucks.com: Sergio Marchionne, CEO of Chrysler Group LLC, said that they will start to sell natural gas trucks in 2012.
CNG-powered trucks will be sold to customers this year, Chrysler Group decleared in North America Auto Show. Engine powered by natural gas is the best choice, said Marchionne on Jan. 10, for their costs are less than other technology such as electric vehicles.
Fiat, owning 58.5% shares of Chrysler, has released CNG engine in Europe. Fiat Iveco truck department has announced they development plan for natural gas engines, and the extra costs to use natural gas engines are 3,000 USD, while the costs for diesel and hybrid electric vehicles are 3,300 USD and 8,000 USD.
