Shaanxi Auto: Xinjiang Market Driven by Development Zones
www.chinatrucks.com. The agreement has been signed in 2011 between Shaanxi Auto and Tou Tunhe development zone in Xinjiang province after the visit of Fang Hongwei, president of Shaanxi Auto in 2010. With the purpose of expanding the middle Asian market, the first heavy truck was completed in Apr. 2012, creating new speed in development.
The new Xinjiang base of Shaanxi Auto was invested with 136 million Yuan. The first stage of production was estimated to 20,000 heavy trucks and 10,000 SPVs. The second stage shall be completed by the end of 2014 with the annual productivity of 36,000 heavy trucks. The annual revenue of the project after putting into production shall reach 15 billion Yuan, contributing over 1 billion taxation to the local government.
Secretary of Tou Tunhe development zone expressed that the establishment of Shaanxi Auto in Xinjiang province has truly contributed to the transformation of development and the enrichment of the modern industrial system.
