Xi'an to Become International Cargo Hub Linking China with Central Asia
www.chinatrucks.com: On April 14, 2014, Xi'an International Trade and Logistics Park reached an agreement in Astana with Kazakhstan National Railway Company, which means Xi'an will become an international cargo hub linking China with Central Asia.
In accordance with the agreement, the newly established Kazakhstan Railway Express Company be responsible for the organization and coordination of cargo transportation from China to Kazakhstan. There are two container leave International Trade and Logistics Park for Kazakhstan every month, and the goods will be distributed to other Central Asian countries in Kazakhstan.
In addition, the International Trade and Logistics Park intends to build a " Khorgos - East Gate" Special Economic Zone with Kazakhstan, and construct logistics park piers in the Special Economic Zone, to deliver goods from China to Central Asia, Russia and Europe, laying a more solid foundation for the two countries to carry out closer economic and trade cooperation.
