FAW Jiefang Sells 46,400 Medium and Heavy Trucks in Q1 up 26%
www.chinatrucks.com: Sales of trucks are increasing in the first quarter in China. FAW Jiefang sold 46,400 medium and heavy trucks in Q1, up 26% over last year. And their market shares are 17.4%, up 2.2% over last year. Sales of spare parts were 247 million RMB, up 20%.
Given that the national 4 emission standards will be carried out on Jan 1, 2015, markets needs for trucks will be increasing before then, and the market can also be driven by the diminishing of vehicle which cannot meet national 3 emission standards. FAW Jiefang will adjust sales targets, making proper brand strategies and marketing jobs for different markets, and they will also promote the implement of the plans to fulfill the sales as early as possible.
