Production and Sales Volumes of Trucks Decreases in Q1
www.chinatrucks.com: According to data released by CAAM, 6.2016 vehicles and 6.153 vehicles were produced and sold during the first season this year, up 5.26% and 3.90% over last year, and we can find clear decreasing compared with last year. And this can be attributed to the decreasing of sales on commercial vehicles, especially trucks.
758,500 trucks and 714,700 trucks were produced and sold from Jan to March, down 21.75% and 22.66% over last year. And the traditional peak season for sales of trucks did not come and we can see sales of heavy trucks, medium trucks and light trucks decreased at the same time.
In terms of the sales for single months, the sales in February of trucks are affected the Spring Festival and sales in March increased largely. And 304,200 trucks were produced and 318,400 units were sold in March, up 62.81% and 94.25% by last month, but down 24.16% and 21.67% over last year.
