FAW Jiefang Electric Truck Starts Commercial Operation in Hong Kong
On December 22, J6F electric truck made by FAW was put on display at Hong Kong Digital Life & Automobile Exhibition, arousing wide media and public attention.
Having obtained entry certificate from UK, the environmentally friendly truck was put into operation in Hong Kong on the same day of the exhibition, becoming the first ever electric truck for commercial operation.
As the leading player in China’s commercial vehicle market, FAW has been making relentless efforts in developing electric, plug-in hybrid and fuel cell vehicles for cargo transportation and other special transportation purposes. So far, it has already made a number of technological breakthroughs in electric driving axle, ECU, braking energy recycling, coupling control, internet of vehicles, lightweight technologies.
The commercial operation of FAW electric truck in Hong Kong ushers a brand new era for the truck maker in promoting new energy trucks in the global market. FAW will continue to strengthen its efforts in developing more intelligent and more environmentally friendly commercial vehicles for its customers across the globe.
