Foton PH, Pilipinas Shell Forge Partnership
Foton Motor Philippines, Inc. (FMPI) and Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. have forged an alliance that would have the petroleum company supply the former with engine oils and lubricants. “The partnership between both companies is expected to strengthen the capabilities of Foton light commercial vehicles, as well as its medium- and heavy-duty trucks in terms of efficiency, extended engine life and reliability, while ensuring a cleaner and safer environment,” Pilipinas Shell said in a statement on Wednesday. FMPI disclosed their reason in choosing the oil firm as its partner: quality, affordability, network, strong commitment, trusted brand and topnotch support. “As both parties join the commitment to bring together the best of their products, the partnership is expected to bring greater levels of sustainable success and advancement for their respective networks and consumers,” Pilipinas Shell said. added. Pilipinas Shell shares dropped by 40 centavos or 1.79 percent to close at P22 each on Thursday.
