Three FOTON Electric Trucks Launched in Indonesia
From 7 to 10 March, the GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) kicked off in Indonesia. Foton Motor participated in the show and brought two fuel-powered heavy trucks and three pure electric vehicles to the Indonesian market. Hosted by the Association of Indonesia Automotive Industries (GAIKINDO), the event is the most popular exhibition for commercial vehicles and urban logistics transportation in Indonesia.

At the show, Foton released three new products including pure electric light truck eAUMARK, pure electric mini truck eTRUCK MATE and pure electric medium VAN eVIEW. All these three are powered by CATL batteries and have strong power and long range to meet the requirements of both freight and passenger transport.
eAUMARK is mainly designed for transporting large and heavy items with a power of 130KW, torque of 1,200NM, range of up to 300KM and load of up to 8 tonnes. Besides to this, the vehicle is also equipped with safety systems such as ESC, AEBS, LDWS and EPB for delivering intelligent, efficient and economy performance.
The eTRUCK MATE features a semi-load-bearing body, a modular chassis, an independent front suspension. This vehicle is powered by a motor that outputs 60kw of power and 220 NM of torque, allowing it to have a range of 220km and a load capacity of 1020kg. Some other configurations include ABS+EBD, reversing camera, power steering, making it suitable for all scenarios in urban logistics.
The eVIEW is equipped with an electric motor that generates 85kW of power and a maximum torque of 290NM. It has a range of 235km and can carry up to 16 passengers. Other features including electric windows and doors and mirrors, optional dual-row seats, ESC, airbags and a permanent magnet synchronous electric motor also come as standard.
FOTON Motor has got access to the core technology of “three electric”(motor, battery, and electronic control technology) and has established a development strategy of hybrid, pure electric, and hydrogen energy for all series of commercial vehicles to accelerate transformation towards green logistics. Foton's new energy products sales have now covered 45 countries and regions around the world, including Europe, Australia, New Zealand and South America.
The launch of the three pure electric vehicles at the show is an important step for Foton on the road to sustainability in the commercial vehicle sector in Indonesia. In January this year, Foton entered into a strategic co-operation with INDOMOBIL, one of the largest local automotive groups. Both parties will actively explore the Indonesian market, assemble Foton EVs locally and plan to establish a Foton Indonesia EV production base to provide Indonesian customers with high-quality commercial vehicles and excellent service.
