SAIC MAXUS Delivers 300 Electric Vans to DHL
SAIC MAXUS has delivered 300 eDELIVER3 (EV30) electric vans to global logistics giant DHL. These vehicles departed from Haitong Port in Shanghai and are now on their way to Europe. This is DHL’s largest order of electric vehicles from a Chinese brand in the European market.
Leaders from the Shanghai government, SAIC MAXUS, and DHL attended the delivery ceremony. The move marks another key step for SAIC MAXUS in supporting global green logistics and expanding its presence in the European electric commercial vehicle market.
Why Did DHL Choose SAIC MAXUS?
As logistics companies worldwide shift to greener fleets, demand for electric delivery vehicles in Europe is growing fast. Strict EU carbon rules and carbon-neutral goals are pushing companies like DHL to speed up electrification.
DHL has worked with SAIC MAXUS since 2017, across Europe, the Americas, Asia, and Oceania. The eDELIVER3 has become a key part of DHL’s green fleet thanks to its practical features: over 400 km of driving range, fast charging to 80% in 30 minutes, lightweight aluminum body, and strong dust and water protection.
This new order of 300 vans shows the growing trust between the two companies and marks a new phase in their partnership.
Built for Europe, Trusted by the Market
Entering the European market isn’t easy. Vehicle standards are high, and local rules are strict. The eDELIVER3 was built on a purpose-designed electric platform and tailored for European needs. It has also earned a 5-star safety rating under the EU’s latest Euro NCAP commercial vehicle rules.
SAIC MAXUS also provides fast and reliable after-sales service, making it a preferred choice for international customers.
Strong Product Line, Global Success
SAIC MAXUS now offers a full line of electric light-duty vehicles, including the eDELIVER3 (EV30), eDELIVER5 (V1), and eDELIVER9 (EV90). Its global sales of light-duty electric vehicles have exceeded 400,000 units.
In Europe:
The eDELIVER3 and eDELIVER9 lead the electric van markets in Norway, Spain, and Italy.
The eDELIVER9 ranks second in the UK, Nordic countries, Italy, and Spain.
These vehicles are widely used for postal delivery, supermarket transport, and other daily logistics needs. MAXUS vans are a common sight on the streets of many European cities.
From launching its first electric light-duty vehicle overseas to building a global lineup of smart electric vans, SAIC MAXUS is helping bring Chinese green technology to the world.
Today, SAIC MAXUS is recognized as a major global player in the electric commercial vehicle sector. Its continued growth is helping logistics industries around the world shift to a greener, more sustainable future.
