FOTON Signs Over 1,000-Vehicle Deal with Nigeria’s Dangote Group
FOTON has strengthened its partnership with Nigeria’s Dangote Group following a strategic meeting in Beijing led by Chairman Aliko Dangote. The talks were attended by Chang Rui, General Manager of BAIC Group and Chairman of FOTON, Lu Zhenghua, Executive Vice President of FOTON, and Fu Jun, Vice President of FOTON and President of the Overseas Business Division.
The discussions focused on deepening strategic cooperation and supporting Africa’s green industrial development. During the meeting, Chang Rui welcomed Dangote’s delegation and praised the group’s long-term role in advancing industrial growth in Africa. Fu Jun highlighted FOTON’s global footprint, development history, and recent achievements in new energy vehicles. He reaffirmed the company’s commitment to providing high-quality products, end-to-end solutions, and timely delivery to support Dangote Group’s operations.

Aliko Dangote acknowledged FOTON’s technological strength in new energy commercial vehicles and its global strategy. Both sides agreed on the importance of sustainable development and Africa’s energy transition, and explored future collaboration opportunities, including joint ventures and expanding the range of new energy products.
Following the talks, a delivery ceremony was held to mark the next phase of cooperation. The deal includes more than 1,000 vehicles, featuring CNG tractor trucks and semi-trailers. These vehicles will bolster Dangote Group’s logistics network in Nigeria and across Africa, providing reliable transport solutions for infrastructure projects and essential services.
