XCMG Secures 300 New Energy Commercial Vehicle Order in Thailand
Chinese commercial vehicle manufacturer XCMG Auto has secured an order for 300 new energy commercial vehicles in Thailand, marking another step in the company's expansion across Southeast Asia.
The agreement was signed in Bangkok with Thai distributor OCR, one of the country's established commercial vehicle partners. The first batch of 100 vehicles has already been delivered.
The deal extends beyond vehicle supply and includes technical support, spare parts services, and financing solutions. The two companies said the partnership is designed to help fleet operators lower operating costs and improve vehicle utilization.

Thailand has become an increasingly important market for electric commercial vehicles as the country promotes cleaner transportation and works to reduce emissions from its logistics sector.
As one of Southeast Asia's largest transportation hubs, Thailand is seeing growing demand for low-emission trucks across logistics, construction, and industrial applications. However, the country's hot and humid climate, combined with demanding operating conditions, presents challenges for vehicle performance and durability.

XCMG believes its electric truck portfolio is well positioned to meet those requirements. The company said its vehicles are built around proprietary battery, motor, and electronic control technologies and have been adapted for overseas markets through localized product development and testing.
According to XCMG, the vehicles have demonstrated stable performance and operating efficiency in high-temperature and high-humidity environments, making them suitable for commercial applications across Southeast Asia.
The latest agreement builds on a long-standing relationship between XCMG and OCR that dates back to 2005, when the company's first equipment entered the Thai market. Over the past two decades, the partnership has expanded alongside XCMG's growing presence in the country.

The Chinese manufacturer has also strengthened its regional support capabilities through service networks and spare parts infrastructure across Southeast Asia, helping support customers throughout the vehicle lifecycle.
The Thailand order comes as XCMG continues to expand its international new energy commercial vehicle business. The company has been increasing its focus on overseas markets while promoting electric transportation solutions for logistics, mining, and construction customers.
With the initial 100 vehicles already delivered and the remaining units scheduled for rollout, the order is expected to further strengthen XCMG's position in Thailand's emerging electric commercial vehicle market.
The company said it plans to continue expanding its new energy vehicle portfolio internationally and provide localized transportation solutions tailored to the needs of different regional markets.
